Barbecue

Our tree-top resort is located in the immediate vicinity of the Harz national park. We therefore ask you to barbecue exclusively on the central barbecue area.

We ask you to refrain from using disposable barbecues for safety and to protect nature. Please only use the grills provided. You can buy barbecue charcoal at the local supermarkets and petrol stations.

Please leave the central barbecue area in such a way that subsequent guests also feel comfortable on it.

Campfire

Our tree-top resort is located in the immediate vicinity of the Harz national park. Therefore, we ask you to exclusively use the large fire bowl on the central barbecue area.

We also ask you to observe the general rules for dealing with open fires, which are essential especially in the vicinity of adjacent forest areas such as the Harz national nark and in the area of wooden houses. Please also take into account the local forest danger fire levels, especially in the summer months.

Please let the campfire burn down completely towards the end and cover the large fire bowl with the lid provided.

You will find a fire extinguisher at the central barbecue area.

You are welcome to take firewood from the various wood piles on the property.

Please leave the central barbecue area in such a way that subsequent guests also feel comfortable on it.

Cats

A well-behaved cat is welcome in the Westerklippen-Loft. All other tree-top houses are pet-free in consideration of our guests.

Our tree-top resort includes five tree-top houses, which are located on a fenced property bordering the Harz national park to the west. As other guests with different needs may be at the tree-top resort at the same time as you, or wild animals may enter or cross the property, especially in the evening and morning hours, we kindly ask you to keep your four-legged friends on a leash at all times. We also ask you to pick up the excrement of your four-legged friends immediately and dispose of it in the available containers.

When designing and furnishing our tree-top houses, we have made every effort to ensure that you and any guests following you feel comfortable during your stay with us. Thus, all our tree-top houses have been given a modern interior design and high-quality interior furnishings, which is expressed especially by the choice of attractive fabrics and covers for our seating, reclining and sleeping furniture and the other furniture, doors and walls made of larch wood.

With this in mind, we kindly ask you to ensure that your four-legged friends do not use or damage our seating, lounging and sleeping furniture, nor leave any traces on our other furniture, doors or walls.

Directions

In order to avoid noise and dirt, we kindly ask you to drive along Blaue-Stein-Straße and the access road across the neighbouring property of the half-timbered villa at walking speed only.

Dogs

A well-behaved dog or assistance dog is welcome in the Westerklippen-Loft. All other tree-top houses pet-free in consideration of our guests.

Energy

When leaving the tree-top houses, we ask you to ensure that all electrical consumers except the refrigerator are switched off. This contributes to general safety and saves energy.

Please reduce the temperature of the underfloor heating before opening the windows or / and the large patio door for long periods.

Internet

Please use the existing intranet and internet infrastructure exclusively for legal downloads and uploads.

Outside doors, windows

We ask you to close all outside doors and windows when you leave the tree-top house and on the day of your departure.

Parking

Parking in our central car park is limited to five spaces. In view of this, we can offer you one parking space per tree-top house for one vehicle (car, moped, motorbike, quad bike, camper van no larger than a VW Bulli). Should you arrive with more than one vehicle, we kindly ask you to park these additional vehicles in the public space.

We kindly ask you to park your vehicle (car, moped, motorbike, quad, camper not larger than a VW Bulli) exclusively in the central car park. You can, of course, take your bicycle with you to your tree-top house and store it there.

Please park only in the designated areas. The area marked beyond this is reserved exclusively for the fire brigade.

The neighbouring property of the half-timbered villa does not belong to our tree-top resort. Against this background, we kindly ask you to use this property exclusively for driving over and not for parking your vehicle.

The other paths on the property are reserved exclusively for pedestrians.

Property

The forest character of the property is also associated with typical forest hazards. Unfortunately, these cannot be completely avoided despite regular and careful inspections (duty of care).

Typical forest hazards include, for example:

  • Falling branches, fruits and twigs from trees and shrubs,
  • Bumps and growths in the ground or / and in the area close to the ground, for example, caused by blackberries, raspberries and rose hips,
  • Slippery ground on tree trunks and stones due to ice, rain, snow and dew,
  • Bites, skin irritations and stings by creatures close to the ground, thorns, insects and birds.

Quiet times

For the well-being of other guests and residents in the immediate vicinity, we ask you to observe the statutory quiet times.

Smoking

The consumption of smoking products of any kind is not permitted in our tree-top houses.

If you cannot do without it during your stay in our tree-top houses, you are welcome to use one of our two terraces or the central barbecue area.

However, we ask you to observe the general rules for dealing with open fires, which are essential especially in the vicinity of adjacent forest areas such as the Harz national park and in the area of wooden houses.

Please use an ashtray and dispose of the remains of smoking materials properly.

Please also take into account the local forest fire danger levels, especially in the summer months.

Smoke detector

The tree-top houses are equipped with a smoke detector in the sleeping and living areas.

Please leave the tree-top house immediately via the staircase when the signal sounds and / or the signal light is on.

Terraces, stairways

Due to the forest character of the property and its proximity to the adjacent Harz national park, there may be branches, leaves, fruits, moss and twigs on the terraces and on the stairways, which can make the ground slippery, especially in combination with wetness caused by ice, rain, snow and dew.

For this reason, we ask you to walk carefully, not to run and to use the handrails.

Please pay special attention to your adolescents. We also ask that you only enter the tree-top houses via the existing stairways.

Tree-top houses

The outdoor terrace is about three metres, the upper floor of the tree-top houses about four and a half metres and the roof about seven metres above the ground. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the dining, sleeping and living areas are secured with a legally required French balcony-type fall protection.

We kindly ask you not to exceed this guardrail or to lean over it. Please also refrain from climbing onto the existing seating furniture or / and the decorative wooden trunks in the area of the windows.

Please also consider these instructions for the outdoor terrace and the covered terrace.

The two flared windows in the sleeping area can only be tilted for safety reasons. The complete opening of these two windows is exclusively reserved for the tree-top resort. An appropriate key is required for this purpose.

Please do not throw any objects from the tree-top houses or / and from the terraces.

The roof of the tree-top houses may not be entered.

Waste disposal

A blue container (for example paper, cardboard, newspaper), a yellow container (for example sales packaging made of plastic, metal, polystyrene, composite material) and a black container (for example household waste) as well as a used glass container are available for waste disposal at a central location. We ask you to use these options for waste separation. This is good for the environment and saves costs.

Please dispose of waste and used glass in the containers provided on the day of your departure.
